Your adventure begins this evening with an important welcome meeting at 7 pm in the hotel lobby. You'll meet your leader at this meeting.
This morning visit the historic Asakusa area. This is one of the older and more traditional parts of Tokyo and is often called the temple district. Here you can stop by Senso-ji, the city’s oldest temple – founded almost 1,400 years ago when Tokyo was nothing more than a fishing village.
Then head to the Japanese Alps aboard some regional trains to the onsen town of Yudanaka (around a 3.5 hour journey). Here you can try both the public onsen spas of this historical town, as well as those in your accommodation. During your two nights stay you will also stay in a Japanese traditional inn with Japanese futon bedding and tatami mats and enjoy the dinner of local produce – a quintessential Japanese experience!

Today,pay a visit to the Snow Monkey Park, where a community of snow monkeys reside. In the colder winter months, snow monkeys dip into the natural onsen pools to warm and clean themselves.

Bid farewell to Yudanaka and board your train to Yokohama. Being the one of the first ports opened to foreign trade, during the self-isolation policy in the end of Edo Period, Yokohama has turned from a small village to Japan’s second largest city. Among the well-developed China town district, you may still able to see the former Western residences. Perhaps visiting the major entertainment area Minto Mirai. Ramen Museum, showing the history Ramen noodles – being originated from China and reformed by Japanese people to an international well-know dishes – in Shin-Yokohama. Also the China Town, the largest Chinatown in Japan (the other two is in Nagasaki and Kobe).
