Always a lively moment in Valencia

World famous for its numerous tourist activities such as sightseeing, gaming and its nightlife

Valencia’s official language is Valencian, and its secondary language is Castilian. The region of Valencia typically enjoys a Mediterranean climate of warm, dry summers and mild, humid winters. The spring and autumn seasons bring forth storms and rainfall. However, the temperature throughout the year is generally favourable. Valencia experiences an average annual temperature of 68°F/20°C. However, expect different climatic conditions in the mountainous areas of Valencia where temperatures could fall below freezing level.

Valencia, Spain’s third largest city and Europe’s fifth, has a number of gardens and squares which both locals and tourists enjoy visiting. Its largest square, the Plaça de l’Ajuntament, is where you’ll find Valencia’s town hall (ajuntament), a cenema (La Filmoteca) and several restaurants and bars. During the Las Fallas event this square is usually where noisy fireworks of the mascletà are let off. Another garden is the Plaça de la Verge. Both locals and tourists visit this spot for recreation, as it contains the Turia Fountain as well as the Basilica of the Virgin. In the same area you will find the Plaça de la Reina where the Cathedral, various species of Orange trees, nice restaurants and bars are found. Beside the Turia River is its old river bed which has been transformed into the Turia Gardens; inside the gardens are a beautiful fountain, various sports fields and a children’s playground. Depending on your taste, you may find other gardens more enjoyable, such as the Real, Monforte and Botanical gardens.

Other things that attract visitors from all over the world include convention centres like Feria de Valencia (the Valentia Fair), Palau de Congressos (the Conference Palace), and so on. These are highly reputable convention centres with large customer bases. Valencia provides several 5 star hotels, eliminating worries over where to stay. In fact, wide selections of hotels are available throughout Valencia to meet varying budgets.
