Port Canaveral is the second busiest port in the world, moving around 4.5 million cruise passengers through its gates every year. In addition, it is the gateway to all the major theme parks and entertainment venues in central Florida.
Tropical weather makes Port Canaveral an all year round vacation destination. The summer months are hot and humid, while the winter months are dry and warm. In summer months, the average temperatures are mid-80 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit. This is the wettest part of the year and also the hurricane season.
