Further up is Barcelona’s major commercial centre, housing several shopping complexes such as La Maquinista, L’Illa and Glòries etc. Among all of the things to do in Barcelona, you must visit the beach; the city is a proud owner of seven superb beaches. The oldest and most visited of all are the Sant Sebastià and Barceloneta beaches. Experience the city’s Nova Icària, Bogatell, Mar Bella, Nova Mar Bella and Llevant beaches that were built as part of the plans to host the 1992 Summer Olympic Games.
