Why Visit Pacific Islands on a cruise?

Worldwide (World Cruises) - CruiseDirection

Charming, magical and tranquil

A reflective beauty and an outback adventure ready to be discovered on a cruise

Named the pearl of the pacific, Bora Bora is one of the world’s most sensational islands. Floating in an intense turquoise lagoon this island is famous for its immense beauty, ancient volcano remains and some of the best snorkelling in the world.

Further west lays the mysterious island of Fiji. Famous for its pristine golf courses, soft coral diving and untouched paradise beaches, Fiji cannot be compared to anywhere else in the world.

The island of Tahiti is a deserted haven of natural beauty and enticing beaches. Lined with soaring mountains and lush greenery, it is the ultimate respite from everything we are used to in everyday life.

With this area of the world being such an enchanted hideaway, there is an array of adventures to be had, some excursions include:

  • Snorkelling, Bora Bora – The reefs and coral life of Bora Bora are some of the most intriguing in the world. Submerge yourself into an underwater jungle of enchanted marine life and coral wilderness as you swim through these crystal clear waters.
  • Jungle Safari, Tahiti – The tropical forests of Tahiti are like no other jungles in the world. Swamped with lush greenery, cascading waterfalls and exciting wildlife, let these alluring out-backs take you on an intriguing journey of discovery.

The climate of the South Pacific is very consistent and only experiences minor changes in temperature throughout the year. Unlike other parts of the world, there are only two seasons here; summer and winter. The average temperature in summer is 30°c and the average winter temperature is 25°c, allowing these islands to boast year-round desirable temperatures.

The higher islands such as Tahiti and Bora Bora can experience more wind due to their altitudes and exposition. The Eastern coasts are more exposed to trade winds and can have more rainfall.

Due to the location of these islands in the Pacific, there can often be a cool breeze on the islands which combines perfectly with the heat from the sun, making it the ideal weather for days outside exploring or sun-bathing on the beach.

Charming, magical and tranquil; the Pacific Islands will take you on a once in a lifetime escape.
